This is the third class in a three-part series with sessions in spring, summer, and fall. Come learn how to start and maintain your own garden from scratch. This family-friendly gardening course will include 3 sessions throughout the growing season: Building and Planting, Maintenance and Plant Health, and Harvesting and Winterizing. Participants will learn each step needed to create a productive garden and enjoy their own homegrown, nutritious produce. Sessions will take place at WEI’s Amador Hill Farm and Orchard and will include first-hand experience on a working, organic farm building their own garden as a group. Come get your hands dirty and learn one of many ways to keep yourself and our environment healthy!
Feel free to register for one, two or all three sessions. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult guardian. Children 11 and under $45; 12 and up $75.
All are welcome – WEI classes are open to everyone.
Instructor Bio: Heidi Seeland-Harper is an experienced educator, gardener, and WEI farmer who loves sharing her passion for the environment and sustainable living. As a native of western Wisconsin, she began helping with the family garden early on and enjoys growing and preserving her own and other local food.
