The political position of the Chamber of Commerce is neutral. However, our goal is to give voter information on candidates running for public office.

We asked each of the candidates running for Mayor or Council in North Branch and Harris to write 50-120 words to share with us.

Past President of NBACC I am proud to announce I, Lorraine Moeller, am running for Mayor.
Folks this election is not about me - it is about YOU - we the people of North Branch.
Are you aware we lost Sunrise Milling to Wyoming? Why?  Because the new owner could not work with the City.  The current  mayor sits on the Economic Development Authority and did nothing to cut the red tape and work with a business in our empty Industrial Park - one that generates tax dollars which lessens the burden on the residents.  Inexcusable.  We need a change!
I have a vision for our City, involving all of you business people, residents,  educational and religious communities.  Your voice matters!

JEFF GOULET-North Branch

25-30% tax increases are unacceptable and 32% on businesses is insanity.  That is what the mayor and current council voted for on September 10th.

 

My name is Jeff Goulet and my background at Polaris Industries will assist me in guiding principles as well as my faith and family.  I am running for City Council because I feel we need a bigger vision and execution at the city level.  With many experiences on boards and coaching/volunteering activities it is time for me to give back to our community.

I’m Ka Bao Jennrich, and I am running for North Branch city council.

I believe true leadership comes from the heart. This means leading with empathy and authenticity, prioritizing people, understanding the needs of our city, and having a genuine interest to make a difference.

As your city council member, I will continuously evaluate and support the needs of our departments; create an environment where the people’s voices are valued; ensure that our city’s growth prioritizes safety; and enact purposeful and balanced short and long-term financial planning.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the past two years on the North Branch City Council I have proven my leadership values to understand North Branch City’s great potential to grow with all means of residential housing and provide a myriad of business opportunities. I have a visionary understanding of the city’s potential, and I have proven that by working with the EDA, Planning Commission and Parks and Trails Committees to create a prosperous community and city.
